The Last Something
It was cold as hell outside, I remember
Just like It happened yesterday
Looking back,
Replaying the events In my head
It hurts. Everything just hurts.
Knowing now,
It was the last something
that meant anything
Edge of the bed, hands held tight
You let go and walked out of my Sight
We didn't even fight, It was just gone
I was left alone
My thoughts and I, left to wander
Within hours, It was gone
You spoke so effortlessly
It gave a sense of certainty,
To everything you just spoke
I was left alone
Weeks came and went,
I spent the hours replaying
the events in my head
I remembered It hurt,
Just like it was yesterday
Knowing now,
that It was the last something
that meant anything
