A poet’s frustration
A poet’s frustration is the worst
A poet is used to being able to write
Anytime anywhere right off the dome
Except this poet can’t get in the zone
Her thoughts are strangling each other
And no one seems to understand
A poet’s frustration is the worst
A poet just wants to write
Write away all the problems
Banish all the sorrow away
Except this poet can’t find the right words
Her letters are backwards
And each pencil is broken

I went through a rough break up with my girlfriend and I wasn't able to write for weeks. I would get so angry at myself because the words would not flow as easy as before. Then one night out of no where, I wrote this piece. My English teacher fell in love with it. She said it was ironic how I was writing about not being able to write.
