The Rape He Blamed Me For
You can't clap with one hand
He says while on the stand.
No decent young girl would roam around at night.
Little did he know I was out to get a bite
After a long day at work with no food in my stomach.
I had invited the rape,
I had invited the brutality,
I had invited myself to meet death that night.
Silly men,
Silly me,
Silly him for blaming me as if I were the key.
New York Times is a big thing, three words to be known all over the world. There was this article about a month ago of a girl getting blamed for herself being raped by a sadistic minded man. I can say I related to this girl, because a long time ago I was raped. I hope the fabulous readers take from "The Rape He Blamed Me For" is that you're not alone, you never will be alone, and rape is not okay.
