Stretching to the clear blue sky

Their craggy brown bodies stand tall

through strong winds and harsh rains

the majestic trees perservere

Luscious needles for miles around

speckled with rubies, sapphires, sunshine

when the winds tear across the field

they scatter and begin anew

birds chirping with their neighbors

squirrels and chipmuncks rustling in debris for their next meal

fawns prancing around their mothers

while the cougars and lions lie in wait

others followed

building their nests with the majestic trees

digging up the luscious greens and rainbows

hunting the deer, cougars, and lions

the nests begin to look down upon the once majestic trees

dull grays and dark blacks overtook all the luscious greens

the deer, lions, and cougars fled to the unknown

and the birds start to choke on the fumes of the blue sky
