Draw From Your Heart
Life is like a map.
But it’s blank.
It’s up to you to draw it.
The hardest part of all?
The start.
Growing up.
Discovering who you are.
Realizing your purpose in the world.
Figuring out where to start your map.
There may be dead ends along the way.
But in the end.
Everyone has a map.
No matter how short or long.
Everyone’s path is unique.
Each and every person has different handwriting.
Some use a stencil.
Some freehand.
My map is just beginning.
A few lines on a page.
I’m yet to discover what my path is.
What does this map lead to?
Anything you want it to.
Whatever you want to do with your life.
Whatever mark you want to leave on the world.
That’s your destination.
It’s up to you.
To use this blank piece of paper.
To make a difference in the world.
To create a map that will be remembered.
By the ones who come after you.
To create a map that is beautiful.
Not in the way it looks.
But in the accomplishments it shows.
You need to get up when you hit a dead end.
Keep drawing.
Maybe on a new path.
But whatever you do.
Be proud of your artwork.
It doesn’t matter if people laugh at you.
At your map.
It only matters what you think of your art.
Draw from your heart.
