"When you need something to believe in, believe in yourself."
"A poem unwritten is only a thought; unshared, unsaid..."

I don’t understand…
Little red welts cross every which way,
Like the calendar in a prison cell.
I guess the prisoner broke free…

So much, yet so little going on…
There’s nothing to do but count,
The lines keep you grounded.
Slowly slipping into insanity…

All alone inside…
The silence is almost deafening,
Yet your face as still as stone.
Like the walls of this prison cell…

I don’t understand…
A smile on your face,
And cuts on your arms.
Evidence of the storm within…

Please stay strong…
Like the storms that pass,
So will your sentence end.
Hold out, don’t break down yet…

I wrote this poem for a very close friend. I feel like it's pretty self-explanatory...
