"Life is a good Journey"

"You look really ugly today."
"I didn't wake up to impress you."
Her thoughts slip away as
The bully has their way.
No one helps me,
I have to help myself.
Can't anyone see my eyes
Screaming for help?
After school on the bus...
"You need to kill yourself."
"Go die you twat."
"I'll chop your head off myself."
"No one wants you."
"Your worthless."
What did I do to deserve this?
On the way home...
"We will walk you home safely."
A group of kids walk me home and wait for my mom to get home.
In my house I broke down
"Shiny object so sharp let's see you Take away my pain."
It took the emotional pain away for a little bit but quickly came back.
Next day at school...
"Look who's here."
"The little twat is here."
"Yeah I'm still here I'm not dying yet."
All the teachers fail to notice
The fact of them bullying me.
It happens in the classroom the hallways and basically everywhere.
"Am I safe yet?"
"No", I silently whisper to myself.
Everyday is harder to wake up.
It's even harder to wake up.
Crying myself to sleep was normal.
Self harming was normal.
The more I got bullied the more
My grades dropped.
I got bullied again 8th to 9th grade.
"The lesbian whore is here."
"Gay people don't belong here."
"Don't touch me I don't want your lesbian germs."
The more insults came the more I died inside.
Enough was enough and I had to do the only thing left.
I stood up for myself and no one bothered me again.
But my family bullied me when I came out as bisexual to them.
Most thought it was a phase.
It was a million times worse with my family as now my bullies.
"I have survived."

The author's comments:

The emotional scars never heal. I can remember every word very vividly. When most of this happened it was 5th grade. This is a true story and always will be a true story. My self esteem has been low ever since and I haven't learned to love myself ever since.
