Out for Lunch
Four heads are better than one
is typically the case, yet it doesn’t help them
crack the code of this mysterious machine.
Desperately, they search for help
hunting the streets for a stranger
willing to aid them with this foreign contraption.
Those who are native
give them strange looks
as if they can not believe that
their simple mechanism
could confuse anyone.
Finally,
with four metallic clicks
the countdown begins.
The group of four briskly
strolls away,
trying to be casual,
but knowing they only have an hour
until they are back again.
