Depression

As I fall
into an abyss
of depression,
I try to recall
when life went amiss,
aged 7?
I look at
those perfect,
perfect girls
and question
why they get the world
and yet I am stuck
with this inner curse.
“Well that’s just bad luck,
life could be worse”.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better :)

I'm not actually depressed anymore- I wrote that years ago and recently came across it so decided to tweek and post it but thanks for your concern all the same. As for the part about the girls, I wasn't referring to all girls in general, just some people who seem to be more lucky than others in terms of quality of life and popularity etc

Great poem. I'm sorry you are depressed. It will pass. It's all part of being a teenager. (I'm 19 so I only got one more year of this ;) ) The part I don't understand though is what is the question the little girls don't get?
