I am a Dancer...
  Not knowing what I’m doing…
copying the dancers at the age of six.
  Learning routines and performing dances.
Competitions in Los Vegas and Chicago.

But I was not satisfied with the competitions and costumes. I wanted to focus on Ballet.

I am a Ballet Dancer...
    Learning techniques.
Blisters and raw feet from the hours of being on pointe shoes.
Dancing with professionals two years in the Milwaukee Ballet       Nutcracker.
Stretching to become stronger and flexible which ended in sore muscles.

But I was not satisfied with studio dancing. I wanted to focus on making the Dance Team at Arrowhead High School.

I am a Pom Dancer…
Thrilled to make the Dance Team my freshman year.
Practicing after school, working on only one or two routines.
Becoming Co-Captain my sophomore year and teaching the team   routines

   helped me become a leader.

But I was not satisfied with not making the Hawkettes my  junior year. I thought I was done dancing, however I was wrong.

I am a Dance Leader…
Starting a Dance Club for students with disabilities.
   Asking fellow dancers to help.
   Teaching routines and techniques
while they dance with their own style.
Performing at a basketball varsity game and Best Buddies talent show!
Get Fit, Have Fun and Make Friends!

But in the end I was satisfied with all the dance experience I had. Learning new skills with each step I took in dance.

I am a Dancer...
Through out my years with blisters, sore muscles, repeating routines, teaching routines and making friends.  I learned it’s not how you dance, it’s the passion you dance with!
