The Waiting Is Finally Over

The slushy brown snow
has finally melted
The giant mound of dirt
ready to till
Waiting for the icy ground
to thaw
Waiting to plant fruits and vegetables
Ready to see bright green leaves
emerge and grow
Ready to watch rabbits snatch
fresh leaves and crops
And to harvest
perfectly ripe fruits and vegetables
Finally I get to plant tiny black seeds
Finally the waiting is over
