Hiding in the dark and stalking
Its prey,
Lurks a deep mystery unknown;
yet familiar to man.
Always following you.
There, at your worst moments crawling inside you.
Never truly removed.

Only to be diminished with
The light of the world.
Yet we hide in darkness with our shadow.

For fear is a shadow.
