For I was simply drifting on my ship,
In the sea of life.
When the water came overboard,
And swallowed me, whole.
I screamed & thrashed,
With all my might...
Yet the other boats sailed right passed me,
While I drowned in my life.

Why, only one soul heard my cries,
And came rushing to my side.
Next thing I knew,
Her fingers wove tightly around mine.
Yet the water kept pulling, choking, & tugging,
Trying to get me under,
But her grip got stronger every time.

Why, I was pulled to shore by her,
My body limp & lifeless.
I was on the verge of stopping,
When she pulled me on, regardless.
She dragged me down a road,
Well known as the road less traveled by.
Why there was no other travelers,
Yet she told me to hang on tight...

Thunder started roaring,
Rain started pouring,
Winds swooshed & gushed,
As the fire raged onward.
My nights turned eternal,
My stars became rare…
But my knight in shining armor,
Why, she was always there.

One hand fought the demons,
Her other caught the tears…
No matter what fight,
She was always near.
With her by my side,
Invincible was I.
She became my brightness,
My rainbow,
In disguise.

I wrote this poem about Stacy London… In my life, I have faced hell, multiple times. And honestly no one was ever there for me, everyone was caught up in their own hell. But one person was there for me, just one. Stacy. We may be 2,117 miles apart, and she may only be seen in pixels, and her voice only heard though the TV’s speakers, but she was there for me. Even in my darkest days, where I almost gave up, she was there for me. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for London. And I am eternally grateful for that. So thank you, Stacy… For saving my life.
