A World I Can't Imagine
A world I can't imagine
A hell without exception
If expression were ever
Absent, so will I be
To have never heard a tune
Or felt rhythm in your step
What a stale waste,
A gray infliction
But to take away what some
Call home is an even greater sin
You can hush our mouths,
Strike down our set
But never close our hearts
Our hearts, they bleed a velvet passion
Too splendid to be touched
As performers and creators,
We'll unite to take the stage,
Until the blind read words
And notes as more than
Black and white on a page
