Time

Is it tick tock

Or tock tick?

Does it go forward

Or back?

Time is a liquid

Was it Vonnegut who said that?

I believe so.

Time drips everyday

It is the dew on the grass

Slowly falls off the blade

Drip drop

Tick tock

Does it go forward or back?

But does it matter?

We all end up in the same place at the end

When the clock stops

No more tick tock.

The song Time on Darkside of the Moon and Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut inspired me with this poem.

I know Vonnegut inspired you, but it reminded a lot of Nut's (from Catching Fire) rambling about the arena. This kind of poetry reminds me of surreal artwork. It's a rather tricky kind of poetry to write, only because if you don't write it well, it sounds like a bunch of bologna. Your poem was lyrical and profound at times. I think you should add some substance. Make it more yours, rather than just stating what Vonnegut said. As, what does that quote mean to you...or what do you think it means? Otherwise, nicely done.
