Day and Night
Half past 8,
I see the moon become envious of the sun.
Stealing the radiant sunlight away,
The moon approaches the sky.
The sun descends,
Beginning to hide.
The moonlight glows in the black of the night.
Aged minds snooze,
Mischievous teens are drugged by moonlight.
Stripping the streets,
Of it's peaceful prerequisite.
The sunlight slivers up,
To battle the moon once again.
The cool teens scurry home,
While I remain in bed, where I’ve been.
