Lost, Misunderstood
When the days drown into the nights
When the fire cools and ice ignites
When black becomes the new white
We get lost in the seas, stuck somewhere in between
When the summers grow old, and along with them, we do too
When problems grow taller and solutions become overdue
When we try to understand the world, all the way from California to Timbuktu
We only get lost in the green and blue, stuck somewhere in between
When the lines get blurry
When the happiness doesn’t mask the worry
When all we do is hurry
We get lost in the dark, stuck somewhere in between
Between the news and olds
Between the ends and the beginnings
Between all the seas and planets and moons and stars
We pretend that we are lost, when we are actually just a little bit misunderstood
We know what we want, we know where we are, we know who we are
But we never say what we want, where we want to be, who we want to be
And between all the things we don’t say,
We become a little bit misunderstood
From the seas to the moons and stars,
Tangled in webs of lies and lies of webs
We look for the truth, but the thing about truth is that
truth too is a little bit misunderstood
