Dear No one,
There is a reason why I can’t stop looking at you.
I’m drunk on your smile,
You froze my soul with your cool glass promises-
3:46 AM and the skies look ominous.
Take me,
to a place where my ribs are shaking,
I need you so much my skeleton is aching
Is there a right time to say goodbye?
My mind is filled but my mouth is dry.
Veins buzzing from my espresso shot(s) in the morning
Sore muscles, stiff jaws should have been a warning.
Shattered, like discs, full of our songs,
I can’t do anything but sit alone-
and remember your breath,
a sweet narcotic that fills my lungs
Yet leaves me so breathless.
Let’s be reckless
Listen to the clouds crashing,
cars flashing,
Bite my neck and leave a mark
Or else I’ll never be able
to convince myself-
that you were real.
