You see this smile on my face,
Sitting in its usual place.
Am I happy? You ask.
What if I I told you the truth?
I feel like I'm wearing a mask.
You see this smile on my face.
Look a little closer and you'll see tears
-see in my eyes my hopes, dreams, and fears.

The author's comments:

People often secretly hide their true emotions.

Many are secretly crying out for help.
