She Did

She laughed the moon and stars asleep
her voice a whisper low and deep
and with the sky she sang a lullaby
and with the sky she shined like the sun
She woke to clocks ticking by
she went outside and spotted the sky
she flew like a bird, eyes wandering
she flew like a bird, proud and free
She danced on the clouds so high above
The winds knocked her down, a push and shove
she fell to the ground, with no one watching
she fell to the ground, with not one sound
