I am an angelfish, of yellow, blue and black.
Gliding through crystalline blue waters and coral
reefs, proudly displaying the uncompared world unknown,
I share my community with uncounted colors and kinds,
swaying through the waves, reveling in our aquatic beauty.

Massive creatures bounce on the Caribean blue.
They stop and belch extraordinary objects
while peculiar squids dive and pick at my home.
They scare my community into hiding with their miniature flashing sun,
spending the day invading our aquatic beauty.

The squids return, with objects unusual, bizarre.
They take what they please with no regard to us:
our homes, our neighbors, and our abounding colored coral.
And every time, these monsters flee on the massive bouncing creatures,
leaving a shadow on the water over our aquatic beauty.

My neighbors begin to die, of what I can not sure.
A jellyfish in the water ceases their breathing,
or floating food yanks them to the surface.
The coral lacks its pride. It fades into the rock in sits on.
All adding to a gloom upon our aquatic beauty.

I am an angelfish, still yellow, blue, and black.
Gliding through murky brown waters with coral
dying of disease all around me.
I leave this place, my home, now vacant of all creatures,
leaving only a memory of our devoured beauty.
