As I watch the snow fall

I feel the cold

Creep in through my skin

Into my veins

To the core of my bones

The blood slowly freezing

Tears turn to ice, before hitting the ground

Shattering like fragile glass

Lips cracked

Skin turning blue

A snowflake

Lands on my outstretched fingertip

Admiring its white, unique beauty

Before it melts

A snowflake

A life
