Numb to pain

Every cut is a sign I’m alive.
Every blood stain on my bandana is a sign I’m human.
Every tear is a word unsaid; every scream is a cry unheard.
Every scar is a soul now dead; every sigh is a note unread.
With every beat of the heart is a mystery because I feel dead without you here with me.
