Envisioning myself free
When I'm enslaved
I try to ignore the hurt
But I'm blinded by the pain
I rush to meet success
But I only see failure
Guess success is reserved for the best

But if I-
Get myself together
I might have a chance to get her
But I don't see why I have to try my hardest
Just so I can get her
Bet I can find a chick like you
Or even someone better
But right now I'm enjoying myself
So like whatever
I'm going to do me
Live life for the better

Can't remember the last time I had peace
Only time I get close is when I'm a sleep
Just getting through life
By the skin of my teeth
Got to always stay alert
On the tip of my feet

I'm sick and tired of these gangs
Shooting people for no reason
This world is insane
In four minutes
Four bodies down
Left to hang
For four days
The price of this game
The cost of the fame

I prefer to have rivals
Than enemies
Because my rivals will cherish me
My enemies will be quick to bury me
Just because all their girls tend 2 favor me
I may be careless in life
But I can't treat my life so carelessly
I only got one life to live
I'll use it to make people savor me

I'm not the same boy that tried to fight everyday
I'm now trying to avoid conflict
So I can live to see another day
Besides
People today are just getting carried away
You'll end up getting shot down
Ambulance carrying you away
The news saying damn
Another life taken away
But it's stupid
Death or no death
As long as they got a story to tell today
For the news
It's a win-win either way

As I read these words
And sit back
I am shocked and amazed
This is what I think and do
When there's nothing to do
On a Summer’s day
