In these clothes, I am a hidden body builder.
I wake up, and I look at myself in the mirror.
You’re weak, nothing but skin and bones.
Put some clothes on, it is time to hit the gym.

I walk into the gym, surrounded by ghosts and irrelevant people.
You worry about yourself and your gains.
Chest day, time to hit the bench.
I put forty fives on each side and i lay flat on the bench.

“You are your own motivation, your own voice.”
Pick that s*** up and lets get to work.
Down, up, Down, up, a repeated process.
Rack it back up, rest, and get back on it.

You feel weak?
Well too bad, do not feel sorry for yourself.
I command you to proceed, you are not human.
You don’t feel pain, do not let your fear consume you.

After the gym I go home.
I drink my protein shake and shower.
I get dressed, putting on a uniform; feeling like an average citizen.
Deep down, beneath these clothes, is a hidden body builder.
