The bruises and scratches remind her of the pain
The bleeding and her running away from him in the rain
Cold and weak, with no money, no clothes or home
Where will she sleep? What will she eat?
All she can do is cry while walking in the streets to roam
Just a few hours ago everything was fine; both happy and smiling
But little did she know he was just faking
He didn’t love her, he never did
How did she not notice everything he hid?
So caught up with him she didn’t even realize the signs
All she noticed is how he would whine and dine
18 months later-she finally opens her eyes
She caught on to all the cheating and all his lies
She can’t go home, and she can’t go to her parents
She’s been on her own since she was an adolescent
Using the only money she had in her pocket, she found a motel
A nightmare she went thru and no one to tell
One year later, she still feels the pain she felt once before
It will always hurt leaving a scar in her heart right down to the core
Now? She is on her feet making it on her own
Not just for her, but her clone
Looking back it’s only a memory she went through
After leaving, her smiles came, and her sadness flew
The ending of something horrible, and beginning of something new
