My Dragon Father
November 13, 2014
A fiery dragon looks upon me with sorrow,
He lets me ride upon his back,
And he takes me home with him.
He treats me with nothing but kindness,
And he cares for me.
On a day as clear as ever,
He took me to his favorite places.
He took me to the mountains,
And we jumped from ridge to ridge.
He took me to the seas,
And we watched the sunset.
He then took me to a cliff,
And he showed me the grave of his daughter,
He wept and I stayed by his side.
Then he looked at me and said,
I miss her so much,
But now I have you.
