What would you do if today was your last day to live? Now go do it.

This girl has  lived on puppet strings.
She had no voice, only her heart could sing.
When she looked in the mirror, She can't see herself.
Just some girl yelling for help.
Smashing the mirror, while her world collide.
Having the little tiny pieces falling out of the sky.
She can't dodge them all, leaving permanent damage.
Leaving her at the end crawling.
Crawling to what she thinks is her destiny.
Which is really a lie,
Jumping off the cliff,
Thinking she could fly,
With everything she had falling right with her.
She hits the ground looking up at the sky with tears in her eyes wondering why.
Some say she wished to hard.
Some say she wished to long.
But they woke up one autumn morning, to notice..
That I was gone.....?

Thanknyou so much! Also with the ending it is the writer showing a sense of shock and confusion to find out that they were the character.

“What man calls civilization always results in deserts. Man is never on the square – he uses up the fat and greenery of the earth. Each generation wastes a little more of the future with greed and lust for riches.” -- Don Marquis

I enjoyed reading this poem and I love the lines " she had no voice, only her heart could sing." It's small details like this that really bring out the true meaning in the poem. I felt like the last line is a little abrupt, but is it supposed to be like that? Like she still doesn't realize who she is?
