I have decided
To hollow out my head
And build a house in the clearing
Of a thoughtful forest
With tinted windows
And barricaded doors
And sleep in silence
And dream in loneliness
Cry out in anguish to no one
With little love left I will trudge
Late nights
Through the lonely swamp
Coated at dusk with fog
Where
If I stand still
I will be able to feel
The perfect heartbeat of the earth
Swelling and releasing
Swelling and releasing
Taking in
Shaky breaths
Through moss-covered lungs
