In the mist of confusion,
hunger cramping forbidden cravings
images of sausage dripping
warm chicken and pork
Fish festering in a sauce of protein rich satisfaction.
In desperation I searched
looking for a savior
to keep me away from the leftover hamburgers
calling me from the fridge.
You fell onto my life
and exploded all meat cravings
into tiny bits.
With your rich fried golden goodness
filling stretchy beans and sticky rice
As you oily goodness seeped over the pores of my tong,
and gave me the confidence
to turn my back on meat
