Exhaustion hits you like a ton of bricks
It compresses down upon you
Leaving no escape
Your eye lids flutter from the burden of their weight
Colors and shapes dance across the darkness
Of your subconscious
Resting in its inner workings
And off you go on your journey
Through the stars
To a place of frozen hands
Where freedom reigns.
