At the end of a long day
The one thing I want is my bed
its cotton arms surround me
my head on its soft shoulder
And sleep
My bed is a great best friend
Drying my tears with its hands
Wrapping me up when I’m scared
Tangling around my legs when I try to leave
Begging me to stay a little while longer
And dream
