My Hero is My Villian
Daddy is my hero
Daddy is my friend
He loves me very dearly
In more than one seance
He watches me at night
He creeps into my room
Daddy gently kisses my head
While I am wrapped within my cacoon
Daddy fights with mommy
He drinks til he drinks no more
Daddy yells at me; he yells til morn
Daddy is a scary man I hide from him in bed
But once asleep he crawls beneath and then lays his hand
Once again daddy is here; he kisses my head to gently
But in the morning my daddy is gone
Where is he? He used to hold me tightly
Daddy throws and punches many things and people
Daddy hurts himself and me and everyone around
Daddy daddy he hit the ground
His head is throbbing and swelling with pain
Daddy daddy I love you
Daddy daddy please please stay
He is my friend; he is my hero
Daddy daddy is more than one
Daddy daddy isn’t really anyone?
He is quiet and keeps to himself
He is there for me and laughs all day
We wrestle and play
Daddy… Never stays the same.
