Mind racing
Soul chasing
My fleeting thoughts
Eyes that are closed
Events of the day
Juxtaposed
On my eyelids.
"what could I have done differently?"
"what will I do tomorrow?"
All I want is blackness
Not to have to think
But my mind is unrelenting,
And it wil not let me sink.
