A Sad Thought

One day soon the world will end
And the dreams of a child will be nothing but pretend
Along with the innocent
The colors of love and lose are black and red
We might one day wake and then forget
That we once had bad dreams and we were never comforted
Fall asleep
Don’t dare to speak
There’s something in the dark
With no more family and the only memory, a tragedy
We find it is a broken heart
A fire yearning to burn
And all it’s missing is a spark
