An Old Love
i. I reread our messages and darling all I can think is “Where did all that love go that we once shared?” A love like that shouldn’t just disappear.
ii. We were both broken. We tried to fix each other, but didn’t we just cut ourselves on the pieces of each other hearts trying to fix one another?
iii. All the love songs that I listen to still bring my mind back to you. When will this madness end?
iv. You were once the muse for my poems. I guess I’m getting back into that bad habit, huh?
v. I still miss laying my head on your chest, and listening to your heartbeat. I still miss the way your arms fit around me like it was home.
vi. Two pieces of a puzzle sometimes don’t fit together, though. Right? I guess that’s what we were. Just two pieces of a puzzle in life.
