Hang Fire This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

Memories
taken without consent
by the thief of time
lost to all
who wish for better
for the youth of childhood
for the simplicity of love
for relief
from the fog of
emptiness
but cannot change
left to
wither away, forgotten,
waiting for the pilot
to come.
