Perfect, Simple, Vivid, Beautiful.
Woke to my realization,
I don’t want to grow up.
Normal high school students can’t wait to get out and leave the clutches of childhood,
Guess I’m not normal.
Little, that’s what I want.
3 years old dancing around the kitchen
Stealing cookie dough when grandmas not looking.
The world, vivid
My soul, unscathed
Beauty in everything, everyone no matter appearance.
Childhood is beautiful, simple, perfect.
I’m no longer a child.
Nor will I be again.
I miss my "child eyes",
They saw perfection beauty everything in nothingness.
The blinding white snow, perfect for sledding,
The colorful leaves, perfect for jumping in,
The squishy mud, perfect for ruining my brand new white dress,
The butterflies dancing above the glistening cold stream, perfect for romping around in.
It was childhood
Perfect, simple, vivid, beautiful.
