Beauty is the Beast MAG

By Anonymous

Her skin, butter-cream by day, turns translucent by night.
Her hair, ebony black, shimmers like the night sky
But only to deceive those she encounters
Her lips, stained crimson from her victims
Eyes piercing blue, penetrating those who make contact with them
Her corpse, deemed immaculate by those she lures into her trap
She is the deceiver, the harlot of the hills
But cleverly disguised
The mark of the beast lies in her hands

me 2.  and the whole beauty being a disguise for a trap was very creative.  shows some resemblance to other pieces i read but still contains your own style and train of thought. nice work.

This is a great poem. I love the usage of powerful words in comparison to using simple, ordinary and everyday words. The imagery is great! "Her skin, buttercream by day, turns translucent by night" (line 1) and "Eyes piercing blue, penetrating those who make contact with them" (line 5) are awesome examples of imagery. You definitely have a way with letting your mind take you to a place where you are free to express and compose such a wonderful poem. What a great job well done! :)

Words. Solitary groups of letters, added together to express on page your emotion. Love in ink. Pain in pen.-Paul Putman

this has alot of meaning. wonderfully written. where did you get the idea for this? it sounds a lot (in my opinion) of a verse in Revelations about the harlot...but thts just me...

friendships are like glass. sometimes it's better to leave them broken then hurt yourself trying to put them back together again.

may b not, but it sure sounds like 1, with the "lips, stained crimson from her victims" i still like it tho, even if it is about a vampire.
