scars
September 11, 2014
If I said I was alone I'd be lying
Because inside we're all dying
We kill our selves in our way
In an attempt to keep hell at bay
Because we know where we all end
So now life is ours to bend
A death is sure to be fated
And after death the eternity that awaited
So to mourn for loss is all but certain
Because we die and lift the curtain
Some scared and some eager
For death some ready and some meager
We don't know it but we all wear scars
Some on the wrist and some on our hearts
If we got together and healed these wounds
We could be whole like many moons
But it isn't that simple we carry knives to give others our scars
So they'll know how we feel and hide behind closed bars
Maybe if you pay attention and see
You'll find that everyone else is like you and me
