You are the only constant in my life, and for that I hate you.

You are the switchblade that hollowed my trees:

slowly, painfully, and without reason.

You are the source of my suffering,

turning the radiant green leaves into the

lifeless, soulless brown.

As I holler into this hollowed wasteland,

I simply receive an echo, but not a response. 

 

You are the only constant in my life, and for that I hate you.
