Tendencies
I was trying to be grown up about it.
I was trying to keep everything moving in the same tempo of my breathing – I was trying to be in control.
But my mind is far too reckless for my body and it seems
out of all the s***ty thoughts in my head I always pick the worst ones to say out loud.
My mind loves drama; so much so that it creates problems for both me and you that may not even have existed before I gave it a chance to just by sitting down to think.
My worst habit is thinking.
Thoughts give my mind a dangerous amount of power,
and I am terrified just thinking of all those words I’d love to recorrect,
all those hands I wish I never held,
all those smiles I shouldn’t have trusted,
and all those thoughts I never should’ve had.
