Space

I float freely in space
Nobody is here,
I float solo,
Who am I,
How have I distanced myself,
So that I no longer see Earth.

There are some marvelous sights out here alone,
But when there is nobody to share them with,
What am I doing looking?

I find some solace in the stars,
Their enormous numbers keep me company,
I can talk,
But they don't talk back.

Isolation wasn't a fear before,
But now that it's happening,
What now?

If you want my advice on space,
Stay on Earth.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.
