There are too many quotes. And I'm much to shallow a person to be able to pick the right deep one.

Like a withering tree all alone
On the edge of a dark, sullen bay
An eerie melody sounds, a phantom
That follows the wind, and sways
And sways

Like a lone trumpet it calls to the night
On the edge of a dark, sullen bay
A cursed tune whispers, an omen
That forebodes doom, and death’s way
Death’s way

Like the biting darkness of midwinter
On the edge of a dark, sullen bay
A wretched hum swindles, a tale
That slowly sucks the marrow out, of the day
The day

Like forgotten ashes that once scorched the land
On the edge of a dark, sullen bay
A miserable cry kindles, a light
That freezes yet burns, as it may
As it may

And at last the lips turn blue
Turn blue
And life lingers only to kiss goodbye
To the song and to you.

I am very Not depressed and in fact a very happy person. I have just read a lot of literature about people who die slow and painful deaths, and I've interpreted it as such. (From the perspective of someone who has to go through it with them).
