I hate the very word
Yet it describes me so well
Alone
In my silence
In my thoughts
Alone
I don’t hear laughter anymore
I don’t see words on a screen
I see nothing but it
Alone
The very thing I speak
The very thing I breathe
The very thing I hate
Yet it conquers me
Alone
I don’t want this
I never asked for it
I never wanted the isolation
This very feeling of being
Alone
