Scary thoughts roam through her mind:
I could drive my car off a cliff, she thinks,
“My death would be no crime”.
Yet she stays still, hoping she’ll find her way
Out of death’s tipping brink.

Depressive images splatter her brain’s walls:
I could take all my pills at once, she thinks,
“Come on, courage, why must you stall”,
For she cannot seem to throw herself
Off of death’s tipping brink.

Hopeful words slowly start to creep up:
I could live just another day, she think,
“I have that exciting thing next month”.
Thankfully she gradually inches away,
From death’s tipping brink.
