The words that fill my mind
Try I might to set them free
All my past left behind
Everything I have in me
Last in my life
Born far away
Cut with a knife
Night and day
A missing soul
A hidden treasure
Burning coal
And for good measure
I cry silent tears
For the innocence that was stolen
Accepting all my childhood fears
And my bitten lips are swollen
