Custer's Last Stand This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

December 5, 2008
Estranged kaleidoscope,
unseemly customs,
between brazen earth-molting sky,
uncontemporary temptress lends pleasant friction,
of modernized ambassadors
whose resolution is brass,
of nature-bred gladiators
whose resolve dyes red,
moccasin-led massacre,
marrow and metal remains,
slaughter surrendered legacy,
esteemed general.
