When Your Lips Meet Mine
When your lips meet mine,
It will be like the Wisteria vine,
That grows outside the place I work
Each tender, loving leaf caressing the sunbeam bark,
Like a piece of the past that has finally found it's present,
Intertwined with worn, rusting metal and mesh supports,
Standing alone, together,
On the outside,
Forever a piece of each other,
Broken but radiant in the ebbing afternoon light,
And in that moment I will know,
Without words,
That I finally belong,
To you
