Here But Not Here
Fever dream
Weak with you
Sticky and stunned
You morphed me, maimed me,
And in the process-claimed me.
Fever, fever, let me go or kill me.
Let me live with you
Forever in a fit of limbs and hungry lips-
Or let me become who I once was.
Because in this fever dream
I am you, you are me.
I am not my own, nor do I want to be.
That, above all else, is what is so terrifying.
That I am drunk on your flesh,
Dizzy with your charm,
So consumed with all that is you
I sleep walk wide awake.
So consumed that ?When someone asks me my name
I reply with yours.
